In Memory of Thomas "Tom" M. Curry
September 4, 1940 – January 4, 2022
Born in Williamstown, NJ | Passed at Rose Hill Plantation, Bluffton, SC
Thomas M. Curry, affectionately known as "Tom" by friends and family, lived a life marked by service, innovation, and quiet generosity. A 1958 graduate of Glassboro High School in New Jersey, Tom went on to serve in the United States Air Force beginning in 1959, where he was stationed at Hahn Air Base in Germany. After six years of honorable service, he transitioned into civilian life as a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 351 (formerly 592), retiring in 1995.
In the early 1980s, Tom co-founded a pioneering computer company in Turnersville, NJ, where he was also a longtime resident. He developed some of the earliest custom software programs for the real estate and financial sectors and was instrumental in bringing computer systems into local classrooms—contributing to the advancement of technology in education across the region.
Tom was also a dedicated member of the Hospital Engineers Association of Southern New Jersey, where he served in various leadership roles, including Treasurer and Secretary.
A true lover of animals and the natural world, Tom found joy and peace in his time spent with pets and wildlife. His quiet passion, commitment to progress, and unwavering kindness continue to inspire those who knew him.
